On 5-6 June in Apia, Samoa, Save our Fiji proudly joined the regional movement to tackleplastic pollution at the Tide Turners Train-the-Trainers Workshop.
We contributed by sharing our insights and wrote a little story to highlight our ongoingcommitment to protecting the Pacific’s environment. Together with youth leaders andenvironmental advocates across the region, we are empowering communities to create lastingchange for a cleaner, healthier Pacific.
Organized by UNEP, the Tide Turners Train-the-Trainers event, held in Apia for WorldEnvironment Day 2025, aimed to equip Pacific national focal points with the tools to implementthe Tide Turners Plastic Challenge and scale community-driven action against plastic pollution.
The two-day program integrated themes of human rights, gender equity, and environmental law, culminating in a conservation activity such as tree planting.
